Nyland Hill

Rising from the moors a couple of miles to the east of Cheddar, Nyland Hill is one of a handful of 'islands' that would once have stood proud in the once flooded marshes.

Covered by trees, the hill is a fantastic place from which to look onto the wetlands and appreciate their beauty.

There is some evidence of earthworks, burials and mining activity protected by the trees and foliage.

Please park considerately when visiting as the road is used by agricultural vehicles.
